Questions people ask us

About ISCD, giving, volunteering and partnership.

Is ISCD a registered organisation?

Yes. ISCD is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/131111) and registered with SCUML. It is also registered with the Federal Ministry of Education, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, and holds an approval from the FCT Universal Basic Education Board. The documents are on the Accountability page.

Where is ISCD based and where does it work?

Our head office is at No. 27 Durban Street, off Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent, Wuse II, FCT Abuja. Our programmes to date include outreach in Abuja area councils and in Ihitte/Uboma, Imo State. See our programmes for where each one runs.

How can I donate?

Open the donation page. Depending on what is switched on, you can pay online or send a bank transfer to our UBA account in the name of the International Standard Centre for Development. Every gift is recorded and acknowledged with a reference.

Can I choose which programme my gift supports?

Yes. The donation form has a “Direct my gift to” option, and each programme page has a Support this programme button that selects it for you.

How can I volunteer?

Our work runs on volunteers. Fill in the volunteer form and tell us where you would like to help: teaching and mentoring, health outreach, events and fundraising, media and photography, or admin and operations. We will be in touch.

How can an organisation or agency partner with ISCD?

We have worked with the Department of State Services, the Federal Ministry of Education, the Universal Basic Education Board, INEC and NDLEA. To start a conversation about a partnership or sponsorship, use the contact page.

Can I sponsor a student?

Our Help Them Finish School initiative offers Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsorship levels, with named scholarships for indigent but academically gifted students. Contact us to agree a level.
